| About GoMining After a fourth grade rock collection landed the Marchacos family in Arizona on a mining expedition, we built the first mining attraction at our own campground. Soon after the first mine was built, our first sluice was constructed to cascade over the mine. Before we knew it, we had to construct a second mine and a wildlife exhibit to accommodate for the long lines at both activities. When George Marchacos sold the campground and opened his new Rock, Fossil and Dinosaur shop in Greenfield Ma., he had another winner! This allowed outside groups such as boys and girls clubs, daycares, and schools experience the mine and sluice activities. The lines grew long. Soon George received requests from all over the country to build sluices and mining attractions. Over 100 mines and sluices have been built since 1993, but George and Adam Marchacos now want to introduce you to GoMining, the newest division of Cold River Mining! GoMining is comprised of three different components. The first is the mining attraction, housed in a 14’x6’x7’customized enclosed trailer. Every trailer is then converted into a replica of an authentic mine. Each mine comes with 10 miner’s hardhats (headlamps attached), pails to collect their finds, and 1000 treasure refills. The second component is a 20’ sluice. This is a self-contained unit with running water to help sift through bags of mining rough loaded with rocks and fossils from all over the world. The third component is the retail cart, fitted with merchandise (selected from 200 proven winners), that will generate additional sales revenue.
